For the best result, the following process is recommended: Allow the rolled fondant to come to ambient temperature. Knead the rolled fondant firmly until it is smooth and elastic. Dust the work surface with a little powdered sugar and roll out the fondant evenly with a rolling pin (2-3 mm thick). Turn the rolled fondant a quarter to prevent sticking. Are there still small cracks visible at the edges when you roll out the fondant? Knead firmly again until the edges are smooth when rolled out. Then the rolled fondant is ready to use.
